Geography of Brookline
Brookline, Massachusetts, a residential suburb adjoining Boston on the west, in Norfolk County. There are few industries, and Brookline's economy is closely linked to Boston's. Attractions include the birthplace of President John F. Kennedy, now a national historic site, and an automobile museum in Larz Anderson Park. Brookline was settled in the 1630's as a farming community and was originally a part of Boston. It was incorporated as a separate town in 1705.
