The Moselle River

Moselle River, (German: Mosel), a river in Europe shared by France, Luxembourg, and Germany. From its source in the Vosges massif of eastern France it flows some 320 miles (510 km) northward to the Rhine. Cities along the Moselle include Nancy and Metz, in France, and Trier and Koblenz in Germany. Fine white wines come from parts of the river's valley in Germany. Most of the Moselle is navigable by barges.
