Wallflower, or Gillyflower, a perennial plant of southern Europe, where it grows wild in rocky crevices. The wild plant bears clusters of yellow flowers. Horticulturists have developed varieties that have flowers with velvety orange, brown, purple, reddish-black, or many-colored petals. Cultivated wallflowers are grown in North America in beds and borders as well as on rocky walls.

The wallflower grows wild in rocky crevices.

The wallflower is Cheiranthus cheiri of the mustard family, Cruciferae.
