Twinflower, a woody, trailing, evergreen vine. The twinflower is found as a wild flower that grows along the ground throughout north temperate and subarctic regions. It has slightly hairy stems and leaves. The leaves are roundish and about one inch (2.5 cm) long. The bell-shaped flowers are pinkish or white, about 1/3 of an inch (8 mm) long. The name of this plant is derived from the fact that the flowers are borne in pairs.

The twinflower is Linnaea borealis of the honeysuckle family, Caprifoliaceae.
