Sagebrush, a perennial shrub usually found in arid regions of western North America. Sagebrush is the state flower of Nevada. The sagebrush plant can grow to a height of 12 feet (3.7 m). It bears narrow, silvery leaves. The small flower heads are composed of many individual flowers. Several heads make up the large flower clusters, which are usually 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 cm) wide Sagebrush is grown as a forage plant and as an ornamental.
