(13-ounce) jicama, peeled and cut into short thin strips (about 4 cups)

large navel oranges, peeled and cut into sections

small red onion, thinly sliced

cup lime juice

cup sugar

jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
or 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes

teaspoon orange zest
PREPARATION:
- Combine all the ingredients in medium mixing bowl; mix well. Let stand 10 minutes before serving, stirring occasionally.
