INGREDIENTS

1-1/2-Pound Loaf 1/3 cup water 1 egg 1/2 cup mashed potatoes 1/4 cup butter, softened 1 teaspoon salt 3 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder 3 tablespoons sugar 1‑1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast 2-Pound Loaf 1/2 cup water 2 eggs 2/3 cup mashed potatoes 1/3 cup butter, softened 1‑1/2 teaspoons salt 4 cups all-purpose flour 1/3 cup nonfat dry milk powder 1/4 cup sugar 2 teaspoons active dry yeast Topping 1/3 cup sugar 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

PREPARATION:

  1. Measuring carefully, place all ingredients except topping ingredients in bread machine pan in order specified by owner's manual. Program dough cycle setting; press start. For 1-1/2-pound loaf, grease 8-1/2X4-1/2-inch loaf pan; set aside. For 2-pound loaf, grease 12X4-1/2-inch loaf pan; set aside.
  2. When cycle is complete, remove dough to lightly floured surface. If necessary, knead in additional all-purpose flour to make dough easy to handle.
  3. Divide dough into 3 pieces; roll each piece into 18-inch rope. Combine sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Spray each rope with nonstick cooking spray; roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Braid pieces together and place in prepared loaf pan, tucking ends under. Cover with clean towel; let rise in warm, draft-free place 45 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until evenly browned. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack.
