Co-operative Commonwealth Federation
Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF), a Canadian political party. It was founded in 1932 by representatives from farm, labor, and socialist groups and adopted a socialistic program patterned after that of the British Labour Party. The CCF won control of the Saskatchewan legislature in 1944, and governed the province for 20 years. In 1961 the national CCF merged with some labor and socialist groups to form a new party called the New Democratic Party.
