Athabaska
Athabaska, the name of a former district in Canada, created within the original Northwest Territories in 1882. It included the northern parts of the present provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan, and a section of northwestern Manitoba. In 1905 most of it was incorporated into Alberta and Saskatchewan; in 1912 the remaining section became part of Manitoba.
