Baedeker
Baedeker, a tourist guidebook prepared by a firm established by the German publisher Karl Baedeker (1801–1859). Baedeker's first guides were published in Coblenz, Germany, in 1829. In 1872 the firm moved to Leipzig. After World War II, the books were prepared in Freiburg by descendants of Karl Baedeker.
