Geography of Bursa
Bursa, (formerly Brusa), Turkey, a city in the northwestern part of the country, 55 miles (90 km) south of Istanbul. Bursa is a railway terminal and a trade center for agricultural products. The city is noted for its silk production. Bursa's mineral springs and historic mosques attract many visitors. The city was the capital of the Ottoman Empire from 1326 to 1366.
