Geography of Miskolc
Miskolc, Hungary, the country's third largest city. Miskolc lies on the Sajó River, 90 miles (145 km) northeast of Budapest. It is a transportation and industrial center with iron and steel mills. Chemicals, machinery, textiles, and wine are among the city's other products. Coal is mined nearby. The city's museum contains Scythian artifacts dating from the sixth century B.C.
