Geography of Zwickau
Zwickau, Germany, a city in Saxony. It is on the Zwickauer Mulde River just north of the Ore Mountains, near the Czech border. Zwickau is primarily a manufacturing city, situated in a coal-mining region. Noteworthy buildings include several Gothic churches and the town hall. The Schumann Museum honors the composer Robert Schumann, born in the city in 1810. Zwickau dates from about the early 12th century.
