Southeast Asia
Southeast Asia, a term widely applied to the peninsular and island part of Asia east of India and south of China. It usually refers to the nations of Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The nations of the region, though marked by ethnic and cultural diversity, share many of the same economic and social problems.
