Mount Mayon
Mayon, Mount, an active volcano of the Philippines. It has erupted more than 30 times since 1615. Mount Mayon is in the southeastern part of the island of Luzon, near the city of Legazpi in Albay province, and is about 200 miles (320 km) east-southeast of Manila. The mountain rises to 7,943 feet (2,421 m) above sea level.
