Geography of Taichung
Taichung, Taiwan, a large city some 85 miles (137 km) southwest of Taipei, the capital. Taichung lies in a rich farming area where rice, bananas, pineapples, tea, and sugarcane are the principal crops. Food processing and papermaking are important.
