Old Skool: A Chopper Profile

Harkening back to the early days of chopper building, Old Skool caters to the simpler design elements found on machines from the 1960s. There's little here that doesn't need to be; even the paintwork is uncharacteristically subtle.

Front to rear, Old Skool is a study in basic black. Even the exhaust pipes are wrapped in heat-insulating black tape. Only the red wheels and isolated bits of chrome and polished metal deviate from the theme, adding just the right accents. Tall handlebars and extended springer forks raked at 40 degrees add a radical element to the old-world mix.

Powering the Old Skool is a Harley-Davidson Shovelhead V-twin bumped to 93 cubic inches via S&S internal components. The 5-speed transmission is stirred by a hand shifter topped with a billiard ball-another "old" touch for the new machine.
