Johnny Walker: A Chopper Profile
Todd Silicato had been involved in building high-end custom motorcycles for many years before deciding to create one of his own. Johnny Walker is the result, and it bristles with imagination and one-off components.

Most distinctive is the paintwork. Beige and white blend together on the sheet metal, while wheels are finished in brown -- an unusual color combination in the chopper world. But other elements are unusual as well, including the tooled leather seat, custom-bent exhaust, and lattice grillwork gracing the frame. The creased fuel tank is another unique piece, and it all combines to set Johnny Walker apart from the chopper crowd.

Solid forks pivot at the base of the Johnny Walker's frame neck, compressing a spring mounted to the top of the neck. A similar design was used on bicycles of the 1950s and 1960s.

More hammock than saddle, the leather sling that passes as a seat on the Johnny Walker is suspended between three posts.
