Ling
Ling, a valuable food fish. The ling commonly grows 3 to 4 feet (90 to 120 cm) long, but it has been known to grow to 7 feet (210 cm) and a weight of 70 pounds (32 kg). It is greenish-gray above and silvery below. The ling is found in deep North Atlantic waters off the coast of Europe, from the Bay of Biscay northward.
The ling is Molva molva of the cod family, Gadidae.
