Cutlass fish
Cutlass Fish, a slender saltwater fish with sharp teeth. The thin body tapers to a point at the tail, giving the fish the general shape of a sword or cutlass. The Atlantic cutlass fish reaches a length of about five feet (1.5 m); the Pacific cutlass fish, about 45 inches (1.1 m).
Cutlass fish belong to the family Trichiuridae. The Atlantic cutlass fish is Trichiurus lepturus; the Pacific, T. nifens.
