Kohlrabi
Kohlrabi, a biennial plant native to Europe and closely related to the cabbage. Kohlrabi has a swollen stem used for food and livestock feed. A cool-weather plant, kohlrabi is planted in early spring in the north and in fall in the south. The plants are harvested after one season of growth.
Kohlrabi is Brassica caulorapa of the mustard family, Cruciferae.Its scientific name is Brassica oleracea gongylodes.
