Xanthisma, also called Star of Texas and Sleepy Daisy, an attractive wildflower native to the Great Plains of the United States. It grows two to four feet (60 to 120 cm) tall and bears starry yellow flowers two inches (5 cm) or more in diameter. Xanthisma, an annual plant, is strongly resistant to heat and drought. It is cultivated in gardens.
