Toadflax
Toadflax, the common name for a genus of perennial herbs native to north temperate regions. There are about 125 species, a few of which are grown in flower or rock gardens. One species, the common toadflax, or butter and eggs, is a common roadside wildflower throughout North America. It grows from one to three feet (30 to 90 cm) high and bears small, yellow and orange flowers.
The toadflax genus is Linaria of the figwort family, Scrophulariaceae. The common toadflax is L. vulgaris.
