Moonflower, a twining, perennial vine that blooms at night rather than during the day. The moonflower is common in southern Florida and tropical America. It climbs from 10 to 20 feet (3 to 6 m) high and bears large broad or oval leaves. The large, fragrant disk-shaped flowers are white or purple.

The common moonflower is Ipomoea alba of the morning-glory family, Convolvulaceae.
