Milo, an annual plant of the grass family. It is a type of grain sorghum native to Africa. The plant grows to six feet (1.8 m) in height and bears orange, yellow, or white seeds. Milo is drought-resistant. It is a good source of carbohydrates and is a staple in the diet of many Africans. In North America, it is typically planted in areas of the Great Plains too dry for corn and used as forage and silage for livestock and poultry.

Milo is Sorghum vulgare subglabrescens of the grass family, Gramineae.
