Linathus
Linathus, a group of annual plants native to North America. The large-flowered Linathus grows one to two feet (30 to 60 cm) tall and bears dense clusters of flowers, usually pinkish or lilac. The small-flowered Linathus, which is four to eight inches (10 to 20 cm) high, bears pink, orange, or purplish flowers. Both species of Linathus are grown in rock gardens.
Linathus plants belong to the genus Linathus of the phlox family, Polemoniaceae. The large-flowered Linathus is L. grandiflora; small-flowered, L. parviflora.
