Godetia
Godetia, a genus of about 25 species of plants native to the western parts of North and South America. Some kinds are cultivated for garden display and cutting. One species, the farewell-to-spring, may grow three feet (90 cm) high. Its flowers, which may be double, vary from rosy-purple to white. Another species, the showy satin-flower, grows to a height of 8 to 14 inches (2036 cm). It has rose-red flowers with a darker blotch at the center of each petal.
Godetias are members of the family Onagraceae. The farewell-to-spring is Godetia amoena; the satin-flower, C. amoena.
