Paper Piecing Quilt Technique
The paper piecing quilt technique involves stitching pieces of fabric together on a paper foundation. This foundation stabilizes the fabric, keeping it from stretching and shifting.
This quilt technique is especially helpful when working with unusual fabrics such as those used in crazy quilts. If the stitching lines are drawn on the foundation papers, this technique can also produce extremely accurate piecing.
