Mount Holyoke College
Mount Holyoke College, a women's college in South Hadley, Massachusetts. It offers B.A. and M.A. degrees in the liberal arts. Buildings include Mary Lyon Hall, named for the founder, and Mary E. Woolley Hall, named for the school's president during 1900–37.
The college is nonsectarian and under private control. It opened as Mount Holyoke Female Seminary in 1837 and was chartered as a degree-granting college in 1893.
