Geography of Moosejaw

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, a city 42 miles (68 km) west of Regina. It is on the Moose Jaw Creek in a wheat-growing area. There are large flour mills, stockyards, railway shops, oil refineries, and factories producing clothing and steel products. The Saskatchewan Technical Institute and a school for the mentally disabled are here. Moose Jaw was permanently settled in 1882 and became a city in 1903.
