Lake Peipus
Peipus, Lake, a lake in northeastern Europe. It is divided between Estonia and Russia. The surface area of 1,390 square miles (3,600 km2) includes a southern extension called Lake Pskov. The combined length of these two bodies of water is about 90 miles (145 km), and the average width is about 30 miles (48 km).
