Geography of Meknes
Meknes, Morocco, a city 80 miles (130 km) east of Rabat. It is a transportation and trade center for a farming and oil-producing area. Sultan Moulay Ismail founded Meknès as his capital in the 1670's and built its massive walls and palaces.
