Yellow

Yellow, one of the pigment primary colors. Yellow occurs between green and orange in the solar spectrum. When yellow is mixed with red, orange is produced; green is produced when yellow and blue are combined.

In heraldry yellow symbolizes love, constancy, and wisdom. But it has also symbolized envy, treachery, and hate. Jews were once forced to wear yellow in some countries, and victims of the Inquisition were robed in yellow. In the United States yellow is symbolic of cowardice.
