Linanthus
Linanthus, a group of annual plants native to North America. The large-flowered linanthus grows one to two feet (30 to 60 cm) tall and bears dense clusters of flowers, usually pinkish or lilac. The small-flowered linanthus, which is four to eight inches (10 to 20 cm) high, bears pink, orange, or purplish flowers. Both species of linanthus are grown in rock gardens.
Linanthus plants belong to the genus Linanthus of the phlox family, Polemoniaceae. The large-flowered linanthus is L. grandiflora; small-flowered, L. parvi-flora.
