Lamb's-Quarters
Lamb's-quarters, an annual weed native to Europe and widespread in North America. It is also called pigweed and white goosefoot. The plant bears clusters of small green flowers. Its whitish leaves are shaped somewhat like the foot of a goose. Lamb's-quarters may grow to a height of six feet (1.8 m). When young and tender it is sometimes boiled as a potherb, like spinach. It may also be served crisp as salad greens.
