Dill, a hardy annual or biennial plant of the parsley family. It is native to southeastern Europe but grows wild in most temperate regions. Dill also is cultivated in gardens for its aromatic seed heads, used to flavor pickles and sauces. The plant grows to a height of about three feet (90 cm). It has feathery leaves and small yellowish flowers.
