Option
Option, in law, a contract that gives one party in the contract the right of choice between two or more courses of action. An option may take many forms. For example, the contract may give a person the right to purchase certain property within 90 days at a specified price. He may purchase or not at his choice; the other party may not legally withdraw the offer during the period of 90 days.
