INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons olive oil 1 large onion, finely chopped 6 cloves garlic, minced 1 green bell pepper, chopped 1 can (28 oz each) Hunt's® Crushed Tomatoes 2 cans (8 oz each) Hunt's® Tomato Sauce with Basil, Garlic and Oregano 1 cup water 2 cans (16 oz each) dark red kidney beans, drained, rinsed 12 ounces stick pepperoni, quartered lengthwise, sliced 2 tablespoons chili powder 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella and Cheddar cheese Crushed red pepper flakes Garlic bread, optionalPREPARATION:
- Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, garlic and bell pepper; cook 5 minutes or until tender. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, kidney beans, pepperoni, chili powder and oregano; stir together. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 15 to 2minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Ladle chili into bowls; top with cheese and some red pepper flakes. Serve with garlic bread, if desired.
