Pickerel Weed
Pickerel weed can be invasive under certain circumstances, as its name suggests. In addition, its seeds are toxic when ingested.
Thick spikes of small periwinkle-blue flowers appear in summer among shiny, dark green leaves. An excellent selection for planting in the sun near the margin of a pond, it combines well with other aquatic plants and adds a welcome dash of beautiful color.
