1952-1958 Mercedes-Benz Type 300S/Sc
The 1952-1958 Mercedes-Benz Type 300S/Sc were massive but tremendously impressive short-wheelbase derivatives of Mercedes' flagship sedan series, offering greater engine power and even better equipment. The initial 300S had a 150-bhp version of the normal 3.0-liter straight six. The later Sc switched from carburetors to fuel injection (related to the 300SL system) to obtain an extra 50 horses. Styling was very much in the late-'30s mold. Open versions were offered both with and without roll-down windows and folding top, and the fixed-roof coupe had very broad rear quarters and a small rear window.Pluses
