1951 Chrysler Saratoga Club Coupe
The 1951 Chrysler Saratoga Club Coupe is the club coupe we cite as the sportiest and most collectible of this historically important model.The Saratoga was the lightest Chrysler series available with the revolutionary new V-8 with hemispherical combustion chambers, then in its first year of production. But the Hemi alone isn't enough to qualify the whole series as collector items.
Regrettably, Chrysler decided not to offer Saratoga hardtops or convertibles this year, although one experimental Newport hardtop was built. The look-alike 1952 Saratoga would be an alternative, though it lacks "first year" status for the Hemi.
For those who like the smoother 1953-54 models, there's the Windsor DeLuxe, which took over for the Saratoga in that period.
