1958 NASCAR Grand National Results
During the 1958 NASCAR Grand National season, drivers were sponsored by individual car dealerships as a way to get around the Automobile Manufacturers Association's ban on racing. Drivers were well-supplied with the parts they needed to make the season thrillingly competitive. In late 1958, NASCAR driver Jack Smith built a new
1958 Pontiac, but the car was wiped out at Darlington
in a flip over the guardrail. Smith finished fifth in
