Pine Siskin
Pine Siskin, a small American bird of the finch family. It is about five inches (13 cm) long. It is light brown above and buff on its underparts and is heavily streaked with dark brown. There are yellow patches on its wings and at the base of its tail. The pine siskin feeds mainly on seeds. It is found in the evergreen forests of Canada and the United States.
The pine siskin is Carduelis pinus of the family Fringillidae.
