Funtastic Foam Frames
Your child will love showing off pictures in funtastic foam frames, and they make the perfect craft for any day. Children will enjoy making these frames to keep or to give as gifts.
What You'll Need:
1 sheet of craft foam in any color
10 to 20 faux jewels in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes
1 photograph
1 pin back
Newspaper
Pencil
Scissors or craft knife
Craft glue
- Cover your work surface with newspaper or an old tablecloth. Draw a shape on a piece of craft foam with your pencil. Cut out the shape, and trace the same shape on the remaining foam. Cut out this shape (this will be your backing). You should now have 2 matching cutouts.
- Draw a smaller shape pattern inside the first foam cutout. Cut out this shape (this will be your frame).
- Trim your photograph so that the part you want to show will fit inside the frame. Glue the photo to the backing, then glue the frame on top of the photo.
- Glue faux jewels around the frame in any pattern you like. Let dry.
- Once the jewels have dried, turn over the frame, and glue the pin back in the center of the backing. Let dry completely before wearing.

Try this!Try coming up with other cool sayings to put on the T-shirts, like "Princess," "Cutie Pie," or "Sweetheart." You could also use the jewels to make cool designs, such as a daisy, a heart, or a butterfly. Use your imagination!
Bejewel Yourself!
Bejewel yourself with a fancy bindi. In some parts of India, a small mark or jewel, called a bindi, is worn on the forehead to symbolize marriage. Today, bindi art is one of the hottest trends, with people wearing bindi designs just for fun not only on their foreheads but also on their shoulders, cheeks, hands, and more!
What You'll Need:Self-adhesive faux jewels in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes
Be sure your skin is clean and dry. Face or hand creams may cause the jewels to loosen and drop off.
Before you start bejeweling yourself with bindi designs, apply 1 small jewel to the back of your hand. Let it set for a few minutes to make sure you aren't allergic to the adhesive. Most products are safe to use on skin, but you can never be too careful!
Arrange the self-adhesive faux jewels in pretty designs on your skin. Cool places for bindi art include the back of your hand or your upper arm -- larger jewels are usually applied here. If you want your design to really stand out, place a group of jewels over an eyebrow, on a cheekbone (about 1 inch below the eye), or along the back curve of your jaw. Smaller jewels are more appropriate in these places since they are easy to notice.
What You'll NeedFingernail polish, clear and another color of your choice
Faux jewels
Tiny confetti
Newspaper
Toothpicks
Low-tack adhesive glue stick
For fingernail accents, first cover your work surface with newspaper or an old tablecloth. Then apply a coat of colored fingernail polish to the nail or nails you want to bejewel. (Jewels seem to last longer on ring fingers and pinkies.)
Lightly rub the tip of a toothpick across a low-tack adhesive glue stick, then use the now-tacky toothpick to pick up a small jewel and place it carefully on the wet fingernail. Roll the toothpick gently to release the jewel. Repeat until you've added all the jewels you want. To add extra sparkle around the jewels, use the tacky toothpick to pick up and add tiny confetti shapes to the polish before it dries.
After the first coat of polish has dried, apply a topcoat of clear polish to ensure that the jewels will stay in place.

Most bindi jewels may be used a number of times if removed carefully and stored in their original containers. However, once the adhesive stops working, you can gain one last use by applying the jewels to your fingernails!
Designer Jewels
Add some designer jewels to a pair of jeans and create a new piece of clothing. Children love new clothes and they'll definitely enjoy some with a little sparkle. These jeans are sure to stand out among the crowd.
What You'll Need:1 pair of jeans
30 round faux jewels, 8mm each, in an assortment of colors
20 teardrop faux jewels, 10x14mm each, in various colors
20 round faux jewels, 6mm each
Newspaper
Waxed paper
Jewel glue
1. Wash and dry jeans before you begin. Do not use any fabric softeners. Read glue packaging for further care instructions.
2. Cover your work surface with newspaper. Fold 1 pant leg so the outside seam is in the middle of the fold. Then place waxed paper inside the jean leg to prevent glue from seeping through to the other side.
3. Place the teardrop and 8mm round jewels along the bottom of the jeans. Only jewel the outside half of the leg; otherwise, the jewels will pop off when your pant legs rub together. Also, avoid putting any jewels on the seam.
Be sure to lay out your jewels before gluing them down.
4. Once you're happy with your design, lift 1 jewel at a time, dot a small amount of glue on the jeans, and press each jewel into the glue. Let dry.
5. To decorate the back pockets, first lay out your design on the pockets using more teardrop and 8mm round jewels as well as 6mm round jewels. Attach each jewel to the jeans with jewel glue, and let dry.
