What causes cluster headaches?
Cluster headaches are vascular headaches. That means they involve the blood vessels in your brain. What causes them, though, is not known. Recent studies of brain activity show that nerve centers within the brain are also involved in cluster headaches. Drinking alcohol may also trigger a cluster headache.
