Yeshiva University, the oldest and one of the largest universities under Jewish control in the United States. It is in New York City. Yeshiva has preparatory schools for boys and for girls, liberal arts colleges for men and for women, Hebrew teachers institutes, an orthodox theological seminary, and several graduate and professional schools, including Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The Yeshiva University Museum is noted for its collection of Judaica. Yeshiva was founded in 1886 and became a university in 1945.
