Liverpool, University of
Liverpool, University of, a university founded in 1881 as University College at Liverpool, England. Once a part of Victoria University, it was independently chartered in 1903. It has faculties of arts, science, engneering, law, medicine, veterinary science, education, and social and environmental studies. Affiliated with the university is the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, a research institute.
