Aspen Institute
Aspen Institute, a nonprofit educational institution that serves as a conference and study center. It seeks to explore interrelated issues of the human mind and spirit in contemporary society through seminars for business, professional, and government leaders. The institute's headquarters are at the Wye Center in Queenstown, Maryland. It has conference centers in Aspen, Colorado; Rome; and Berlin.
The institute was founded at Aspen in 1949 by Walter P. Paepcke, a United States corporation executive.
