Charles M. Andrews
Andrews, Charles McLean (1863-1943), a United States historian. He was awarded the 1935 Pulitzer Prize in history for the first volume of his four-volume Colonial Period of American History (1934-38). Andrews was born in Wethersfield, Connecticut. He received his Ph.D. degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1889 and was a professor of American history at Yale University from 1910 to 1931.
His books include: Fathers of New England (1919); Colonial Folkways (1919); The Colonial Background of the American Revolution (1924).
