1968-1969 Ford Torino GT
The 1968-1969 Ford Torino GTs were Ford's sporting intermediates in these years, part of the newly named upper series in the restyled Fairlane line. New for this year was a sleek fastback two-door hardtop that proved very slippery -- and very successful -- in long-distance stock car races. The Torino GT was restyled for 1970 with sleeker-looking lines that actually proved less aerodynamic on the supertracks.
